Well...Its been a busy one today and now knackered.
Picked the last of the Armish first thing this morning as the minimum temp was just 5C last night

all the plants are now pulled and in the green bin.
Planted some Hyacinths out front in my new garden and found a few of these fellows sticking their heads out the ground,
Now I know I planted a few bulbs out there just a couple weeks ago but I was not expecting anying to show yet!

Today, I went out and picked the last of the apples, then I removed the fallen leaves from the pond. A couple of my pots had blown over, but it had caused no damage to any of the plants in them.

It was a surprise to see that my grape had put on another twenty centimetres or so lately. It's only in its third year, but since it didn't seem to like the spot that it was in, I decided to move it from its former sheltered position into the open, a move that it appears to have appreciated.

Guilty of doing nothing today in the garden. This aft I sat in the conservatory, the door open on a wonderful sunny day and fell asleep reading a book. Thats something I dont do to often, but it was so nice and peaceful and warm and just so relaxing. It was just what I needed:gnthb:
It seems its going to rain tomorrow in these parts so It looks like the next big event in my garden is on Wednesday when the guys turn up to install a new fence and gate.

This is some sort of Clerodendron.

Have a large clump of it growing in the Florida garden. I think it might be a climber, but it is sprawling around all over the place at the moment.

Clerodendron Thompsoni, Bleeding Heart Vine,:gnthb: I used to grow these and three other varieties when I worked in an Exotics nursery years ago. It is a stunning plant (as long as it is kept in trim).:)

Big day in my little garden today.
    Its new gate installation day

This was the old panel and gate I installed a number of years ago
    [IMG]
At 7:30 this morning I was out there removing the panels and reclaiming the timber. I reckon I have enough to make up a few planters.

First new panel in place with oak post and redwood panel treated with light oak
    [IMG]

Three posts installed and gate secured

    Detail of the hinges

Detail of the latch and lock

I`m really pleased with finished job. I just need to do something with the ground at the base of the gate and I shall be more then happy:gnthb:
