Today's Church - St. Witt, Whitchurch Canonicorum

Think i've done this one before, but it's an interesting one







Georgie Markov's grave, for those of you that didn't see this a few years back, he was murdered by the secret police using a poisoned umbrella.





Some Roman bricks have been re used in the wall here.

 

I replastered these reveals after some water damage about 20 years ago.

 

And helped re decorate the chancel.



The Shrine of St. Witt, apparently if you get your arm cut off, you stick the stump in one of the holes and you'll grow a new one.

 

And finally, I wandered lonely as a Zig...

 

A nearby campsite (Bridge Farm) lists "numerous nearby bridal paths" amongst facilities available, I guess they must lead to the church.
