thanks for that ... very interesting

Phostrogen seems like a pretty good fertilizer (but is not a slow release) ...

Tesco is currently selling boxes of 800 grams for £1 .... I have used 2 boxes this morning on a client's lawn, and will follow up in autumn (after the last cut) with Miracle grow slow release (£2.50 a bottle at Tesco) ...

last week, I used a box of lawn feed fertilizer from the garden centre (Scotts lawnbuilder) on the same lawn

lawn was looking lush and green this morning ....

I might get a few more boxes of Phostrogen for later use

      Excellent Which report grumpy !
It does show feeding has a marked effect. Also my favourite Wilkos is well and truly in the 2nd division ( Championship ) :( The Chempak perfomance and cost per grow bag was best. I have never seen Chempak on sale ? Although I have never actually looked for it . Is it readily available :what:

They went bust a couple of years ago, I think, but T&M bought the fertilizer section, I believe.

Chempak® Soluble Tomato Food - Fertilisers - Thompson & Morgan

Having said that, I have just recently discovered a secret garden centre, hidden away near the Welsh Harp in NW London, which has loads of different brands, including the various Chempak formulations.

The downside to Chempak is it doesn't seem to have any seaweed extract in it, which the bloke at the flower stall, in my local market got quite vociferous about people not feeding their plants and they need to give them seaweed.!!! :rolleyespink:

Thats why I quite like Tomorite, it certainly woke up the roses, which had been abused for the last two or three years.
