T&M Bought Chempak a few years back. There are probably cheaper sources of purchase - eBay perhaps?

My buy-price (from LBS Trade) is £5.04 per 1kg pack, and £45.18 for a 12-case (inc VAT, exc postage - free if I include it on one of my ... ermmm ... "Bigger" orders :) )

Don't forget you can get 12.6 % cashback by going to T&M via Topcashback http://www.topcashback.co.uk/thompson_and_morgan/ , so £50 + £4.95 P&P less £10 code = £44.95 delivered x 12.6% = a further saving of £5.66. You can take your cashback as Clubcard Points with a 5% bonus, so you could take 90p as cash and take the other £4.76 as 500 points/£5 in Clubcard Vouchers, then triple it up to get a £15 T&M code (that can be used in conjunction with special offers such as free delivery, half price seeds promotions, money off codes from catalogue vouchers, etc. as the code goes in a different box)http://www.tesco.com/clubcard/deals/product.aspx?R=2280 .

If you have more than one Clubcard account, you can refer the cardholder to Topcashback and when they've earned £10 cashback you get £15 which can be taken as 71p in cash and 1545/£15.00 in Clubcard points/vouchers and which can be exchanged for £45 in T&M Vouchers, so by doing it that way, the imaginary friend with a clubcard account your OH, etc. who've you've referred only needs to spend £79.37 at T&M to earn £10 cashback and you they get £10 cashback which can be taken as 48p in cash plus £30 in T&M vouchers and you get £15 cashback which can be taken as 71p in cash plus £45 in T&M vouchers. Then as soon as you they have earned that £10 cashback to earn you the £15 referral fee you refer somebody else to Topcashback and so on .....

g/£ is a good the best way to calculate, it's the way I work with everything, cost/m/m²/m³, etc.

Exactly, so lets see... that is 2 pound, 11 shillings, thruppence haypenny for 200g Very easy. Unless you mean pounds and New Pence, that anti British, EU, decimalized, method. And there was nothing wrong with gallons, oz, and yards either.

Ft/lb of torque, working on the old BSA C15, old days.... thousandths of an inch setting the points.....

Unfortunately, the old UK 'imperial' system was an absolute nightmare to calculate the cost per square yard in pounds, shillings and pence (to the nearest halfpenny), using the likes of a scale of 1/8th of an inch to one foot to measure from architectural drawings. I was glad to see the back of it.
