      Hi folks.

Has anyone ever grown Ildi (ildi)? I have some outside which along with my other outdoor ones, are looking non too great. The thing with them though, is that there are masses of flowers, I've never seen so many on a tom! What I'd like to know is, how's the flavour?

      Cheers...Freddy

That too - and not as many plants (or at least some inside and some outside) so they have room to breathe more.

The two top halves that I shoved into compost yesterday have all but wilted completely today, so I can only assume that I've lost them. :(

Thanks Ziggy - I did give them a dousing again tonight, but I'm really not holding out much hope. Suppose if they do, its a bonus.

Should have seen the state of one of mine on the windowsill that got forgotten over the weekend. Its fine now. Must get a bigger pot though, or move to a hot country.

Hi Freddy, all I can tell you is, my mum grew them year after year and thought they tasted great. Sadly her mind is fading with age now and there's no point in asking her any questions.

Just to add, my mum grew all her toms in the greenhouse. Many different ones and some very unusual, but nearly always cherry tomatoes. She would still be picking them at Christmas nearly every year. :)
