I've got this 'slow' blight in my greenhouse now, so am stripping off affected areas and spraying with Bordeaux Mixture, they are still producing well though, with a bit of luck I can keep them going for another month , weather permitting:

My five gardeners delight just keep on going. These two pics are two days worth.

I'm not a serious Tomato grower. I only grow around 12 to 14 plants a year in order to feed me, and to give away to family and neighbours, with something so different in taste to what the Supermarkets sell supposedly as tomatoes.:heehee:

So these are a mixture of Juliet and Rosada toms as picked today and letting them ripen in the bowl.

I like these types as they really rich in taste and sweet. I've got about 5 plants of Orkado toms which are groaning under the weight of fruit. But despite it's reputation for being an early ripener they're still green.:dunno:

No, Jenny, I've only got black, tan, and ox blood shoe polish and they're no good for shining toms. So those toms are straight off the vine and in a minute of two some are going into a sandwich with ham, cheese, and lettuce........with maybe a glass of red wine to wash it down.:heehee:

Thanks John. Last decent crop was 2 years ago.

I worry about any bloke that has "ox blood shoes" ... particularly if he buys the special polish for them :heehee:

Got another £5 voucher code with T&M's Cottage Garden Sale Catalogue that came in the post today, so submitted another order identical to the one above. Plus got 23p cashback on that £1.95:

                    quidco tandm.png

I now have 2 pkts Sungella (£3.99 each) and 15 pkts Ferline (normally £2.99 each) incl P&P for only £12.47 after cashback.

P.S. I received that order today and they've given me a £10 off £30 spend voucher code with it, but that's not as good as £5 off £5.

I've probably missed something somewhere, but seems like a lot of packets?

I get pretty much 100% germination from Tom seed in the Spring (seed trays in heated propagator) ...
