A bottle of Bordeaux in your bed might be easier to explain away ...!!

Being a bit "nerdy" here but I wasn't around for the Tomato Growing Thread 2011. Has that year's post total been exceeded?

We didn't have a 2011 thread Jenny, nor one in any previous years to my knowledge. It's been worthwhile though as we have all learnt from each other in a very trying and difficult season.

You're right there John. After a slow start my Gardener's Delight are still loaded with fruit. They are ripening but the sweetness has gone from them now.

I think it's been said before, but Tomatoes seem to be the ONE plant (fruit, whatever) that gets everyone's juices flowing. Why is that? Anyway, long may it continue:blue thumb:

I have found that the so called early ripening Orkado toms are only just ripening while the Rosada and Juliet Plum toms have been ripening at least steadily throughout the year but not in the usual numbers. I just hope nobody gets discouraged enough to stop growing them. Let's face it, part of it all is the challenge.....which seems to have increased over the years.:snork:

Stop growing toms Armandii!! How many of us groan when our plants are finished and we have to go back to the horrible supermarket ones, thick skins like boot leather and no sweetness, perish the thought!
