    I forgot post the last pick of Koraliks, and I've already been seriously snacking on them:

    I've be covering up my bed of these to protect against frost as long as possible.

      Here's what I harvested tonight from the Green House after coming back from Manchester and making a mug of tea.:coffee:

      A mixture of Rosada, Juliet and Orkado toms of differing sizes and colours. I took the green ones because they dropped off as I was picking the red ones........hopefully they will ripen too.:dunno::snork:

        I can see a batch of Wonderful Cream of Tomato Soup in the making there Armandii. With a hunk of homemade wholemeal bread ....:wub2:

          I've still got a fair number of toms to come yet, Jenny, and I've been having lots of Cheese and Tomato, Ham and Tomato sandwiches just recently.:heehee:

              No chance Sheal...can't remember the last time i had a shop Tom in a sandwich....actually i do but by the time i'd cut the 'core' out the middle and chewed my way through the skin i don't know why i bothered:eeew:

                    All my plot tomatoes (with the exception of Koraliks) have been wiped out by blight, but this runt of a Sungold plant that was chucked into a pallet compost bin ages ago decided to thrive, burst out the sides, and give me a few late Sungold toms.

                    Sadly, it also has now started to succumb to blight, despite no Blightwatch warnings being issued for either my area, or any surrounding areas for about 3 months.

                        Thanks John....i do love growing my Alicantes....on the whole all my toms have done me proud...only lost my Maskotkas to blight so i think i've been lucky:dbgrtmb:

                          Touch and go as to whether my odd looking Striped German will ripen sufficiently to find out what they taste like.
                          Everything else is by now a little worse for wear.
                          My best tomato this year came from seed saved from a supermarket tomato which was complete with the infuriatingly unhelpful label of just 'vine tomato'. I have no idea whether it was an F1 or not but the tomatoes I got from the seed tasted wonderful and I saved more seed from this year's crop.
