    Hi,

My tomato plants are outside, I water daily and feed once a week. Plenty of flowers but not many little green tomatoes yet. I see a few bees come and go but not many. Am I doing OK?

I also feel like the sun is burning the leaves which is worrying me.

They are grafted sungold tomatoes and supersteak tomatoes.

        They are doing alright.
Is that more than one plant or just one plant with side shoots
Just think a bigger pot might help with keeping up with the watering.

Yes, you should gently tap the stems to shake the flowers each time you water. It helps pollination.

            OK,

I've moved them to some shade for a bit and watered thoroughly. I've also cut off some of the bigger bald branches and shook the flowers.

I will just ensure I water twice a day now, first thing and last thing. I just bought them in the pots from a garden centre, there should only be 1 plant in each, but they have grown very big and stalked off into 3-4 big branches with flowers on.

I will keep an eye on them!

First taste test of Sweet Olive. Great texture (I like them firm and fleshy), sweet and slightly acidic. I believe some more sun is needed to make them taste better than Tesco's Baby Plum ones. But definitely worth growing and eating- and it looks like they are indeed heavy croppers like it said on the pack :) Full marks for an outdoor tom in the North East so far.

Finally Honeymoon has ripened, that's all my varieties now, it's the only larger beefsteak sized type I grow. Finished eating the first truss on most of the others.

I've hauled a lot of pots out of my greenhouse because of blight, just hoping that removing the affected plants that I will have saved the rest. Not a good year for tomatoes at all.

Help, for once up here in Scotland we would appear to have had the better of the weather recently. I only grow tomatoes in the greenhouse and most years have to try and balance the pros of keeping the temperatures up not opening the doors vents etc, against the cons of blight if it is damp weather. Touch wood this summer has been pretty dry and more importantly hot so not a sign of blight......so far:fingers crossed:. However before I get blasé about it I see we are in for a wet spell by the end of the week:th scifD36:. I will need to keep a beady eye on my spuds as they can get affected while your back is turned!

Can anyone help me identify this problem?

It doesn't seem to be BER because it's mushy on the sides.

Blight? Possibly? However the foliage is unaffected and I thought foliage for toms would shrivel and go brown if its blight.

It doesn't look like blight to me @FrancescaH , is it on all your fruit and varieties ?

Nope, just on one variety (Costoluto Fiorentino). They're all outside. I've noticed it on about 3 fruits out of the maybe 15 I've got on that plant growing? This is the 3rd I've chopped off.

I only just started feeding last week. Perhaps this variety hasn't been happy without being fed and I was a little behind?
