    Sorry didn't pick up what you were asking, I have had a few ripe fruit so far from Honeymoon, my hand is on the third truss having eaten the two lower trusses. Honeymoon was the last of all my varieties to ripen, first one on 19th July.

    Compared to last year I started picking Honeymoon on 3rd July just ahead of Gardener's Delight.

    So it is slow to ripen, but not really late. In a normal year I think it would be OK outside.

        Update on my season thus far (NW, 12x8 greenhouse, roughly 36 Corden Tom plants)

        Bloody Butcher: Producing well for 2/3 weeks, fairly small fruit (25-40g) some splitting
        Matina: Similar to above
        Steak Sandwich: Only one peach coloured monster Tom so far (split and with a hole but doesn't look infected so ripening inside)
        Stupice: Only now ripening, seem good sized (30-45g?)
        Sungold: Lots of fruit but a lot split, I'm not sure I like the concept of cordon cherries, might try outdoor baskets next year as some "Cherry Falls" ones I have now (impulse purchase plants from garden centre) look terrible but the fruits taste great.

        Notes: Switched to auto-watering system (to roots not sprinkle) in Jul, I may have been too keen resulting in the splits (was 15min twice a day now once 5 min per day)?
        - Starting to see rotting leaves now which I pull off every day.
        - Vents/door open 24/7
        - weekly Tomatorite
        - remove lower leaves to about 12"
        - Saw white fly the other day but not out of control

        All good fun, pics to follow and am keeping an OCD-level log on yields :-D

          I haven't grown Crimson Crush for 3 years, so not grown it alongside Honeymoon.

          Last year I grew Cocktail Crush: it ripened 24 June alongside Honeymoon which ripened 3 July.

          Your observations are very interesting i look forward to seeing your pictures as I have mentioned before I use vivigrows stuff goes like the clappers and all tastes good I have experienced very little splitting and the bonus is
          no compost .

            Hi
            My tomatoes have struggled for a while but now appear to be on their last legs. Can anybody identify the problem in the photos please?
            We have fruit but some are rotting if the 'blackened'? disease reaches them.

              I've lost all mine at the allotment this week to blight. All gardeners delight :frown: it's run through my neighbouring plots too.

                You can try a copper spray at the very first signs, and if the weather improves they can go on to give you a decent crop, but its not an ideal solution as it leaves a coating on the fruit.

                  I've sprayed mine which slows down the spread of blight but having to wash the fruit in dilute vinegar is a pain. Better than losing the crop.

                  Grow blight resistant varieties, although in my experience they don't taste as nice as heritage varieties.

                      Ah thanks all.. Such a shame but glad I'm not the only one! My mum seems to escape all diseases. Her tomatoes are magnificent every year so I need to take some tips
