Sowed all my indeterminates this afternoon:

    Green Zebra (two of these)
    Golden Sunrise
    Auntie Madge's
    Gardener's Delight (old strain)

The following are all new to me:
    Girl Girl's Weird Thing
    Ananas Noir
    Reinhard's Purple Sugar
    Piglet Willie's French Black
    Black and Brown Boar
    Jaune Flamme
    Red Zebra

I sowed my tomatoes around this time last year and it worked out perfectly for me. I don't have a greenhouse so all will be grown outside.

F779B186-18A6-4FA7-A318-042D5CA650F5.jpeg Hi tomato growers. Think perhaps you are doing the right thing Garrett sowing late. My tomatoes look poorly. The soil was covered in a haze of white fungus?
Does anyone know what I should do now to make them better. V

A light dusting of sulphur dust on the surface of compost would be beneficial. Check for aphid larvae on underside of leaves.

Tomato seeding sowing time for me, I really must grow less plants this year we were swamped with them last year lol.
Minibel and Garden Pearl are the small ones
Principe Borghese, Black Russian, Tigerella, Gardeners Delight and Breakfast are the middling sized
Orange Queen and Cour di Bue are the beef steak ones. Two seeds of each to be sown in cells and I really must not grow all 18 of them lol.
These will be in the heated prop in the conservatory to start as it was minus 2.7 in the greenhouse last night.

In a week's time I will sow the seeds of 'Gardeners Delight' sent to me by @JWK Though I still have about 50 seeds of 'Gardeners Delight' from last year! Perhaps I'll sow a few of those though I don't really have room for more than 10 plants.

Would be an interesting experiment @Balc , what other varieties are you growing. 10 plants is quite a lot, it's more than enough for our little family.

Morning @burnie, how I laughed at your post. I have also had to curb my enthusiasm for growing 200 or sometimes 300 tomatoes. I see interesting colours, purple in the name, heirloom, Italian and suddenly there are seed packets everywhere! I give a lot of plants away and my chickens have cherry toms every day, but it's finding somewhere to sow them all with everything else I'm starting in the greenhouse and then where they are all going afterwards.

Let's see if we really can grow a sensible amount this year.

Now see, for me, there’s no such thing as too many tomatoes! I grow them in the greenhouse, two beds and also pots. My family and neighbours can enjoy a steady supply of tomatoes in late summer and I freeze (whole and made into passata) dehydrate and eat fresh! I manage to find space to grow lots of other veg too so it’s not all tomatoes. I usually have bags of tomatoes from last yearin the freezer up until I’m harvesting new crops so there’s always toms for stews, soups, pasta sauce etc

That's excellent news @Susieshoe and not a surprise after seeing your "Happiness is...." I shall continue to grow too many and slot them all in somewhere. My new motto will be "there is no such thing as too many tomatoes" and this will also apply to my dahlias, cosmos, tulips, iris reticulata, crocus, lilies and everything else.
Looks like you are very organised to have tomatoes all year round. Sounds fabulous. Lucky family and neighbours. I shall try to follow your lead on this.
