I'll just grow my usual incas and a few Crimson crush.
I'm very stingy with tom seed and only sow the amount I need, so usually a packet lasts me a few years.

'Subjugator of Love' looks very similar to 'Sunstream' which I grew on my allotment back in 2014.

The screenshot is from Tomatofifou in France, so I suspect it's just an unfortunate translation.

I did a search for this tomato & the only images I found are from this French site.

Does anyone here graft tomato plants?
I was thinking of trying it this year. I grow my tomatoes in polytunnel beds, same place for the last 4/5 years. I've been noticing less tomatoes with each year that passes.
I use comfrey liquid for feed.

                @Aidan mc

If you keep growing tomatoes in the same soil there is a build up of pathogens resulting in weak growth as you have found out. One solution is to swap the soil with fresh, for example from a border that hasn't had tomatoes or potatoes grown for at least three years.

Depending on the rootstock chosen, grafted tomatoes will have extra vigour and resistance to certain soil-borne diseases and allows tomatoes to be grown in the same soil year after year with no degradation in performance. I grafted my own for a few years.

Then I followed advice from other members and found that using Mycorrhizal fungi produces a good comparable result for much less hassle.

If you still want to go down the grafting route have a look at my thread:

I can explain. I was looking for the Pasilla Baijo peppers and the rest just sort of fell into my basket.;) IMG_20230112_060345.jpg

@JWK Thanks John. Thats interesting about the Mycorrhizal fungi.
Do you just use it when transplanting out? What type do you use?

Best used when planting out into thier final position, you sprinkle the powder at the bottom of the planting hole so it is in contact with the roots.

I use empathy RootGrow, a pack lasts me a couple of years. Make sure you buy the right version for tomatoes.

I just use the standard Empathy product with everything I plant except annual flowers. For tomatoes and other pot grown plants I then mix in a slow release fertiliser. I don't bother with water retaining crystals as I have questions about how biodegradeable they are. When I did use them in hanging baskets having dumped the plants in the compost bin and the compost on the veg plot I still found the water retaining crystals the next summer.

The one I use is labelled for Edibles, it may also be for shrubs too.

Did anyone benefit from applying trichoderma in the greenhouse compost?
