IMG_20230710_074353.jpg I've had ripe Cherry Roma for a couple of weeks now. Very full tomatoey flavour for a cherry. Vigorous, prolifically fruiting vine ( on the left in the photo,). Only downside is that the skins are a bit tough. IMG_20230714_091706.jpg

I've been slowly picking Honeycomb for a couple of weeks now.
I'm quite impressed with the flavour.

First pickings of Nangina (left) and Primabella. Not grown Nangina before, it was tasty

Picked a handful of minibell for lunch, one gardeners delight didn't make it to the kitchen, black cherry almost ready, the others some way off yet. Beefsteaks are growing well.

Having trouble with the high winds/ heavy rain/ hailstones. I'm pleased I decided to move the tomatoes to the patio - 3 sides protected against winds and the fleece is withstanding the onslaught of the hailstones which are the size of marbles.

I didn't make a photo of the first ready. Had 2 De-Barao black and tiny 3 of Hundreds and Thousands today :) very late this year, and everything else is green yet outside and in the greenhouse.

Bloody butcher producing it's typical early toms of all sizes. Sungold next is also producing. First Cappuccino was ready, another semi ripe one on top of this pile, very dissatisfied with the flavour but as mentioned the first ones can be a bit rubbish

I've had to throw out four that had fungal growths on them, similar to what you see later in autumn. Had to do that last year too, the last month has been rubbish weather wise.

Please keep us posted about Cappuccino. It's on my shortlist to grow next year but I'll kick it off if it's rubbish.
