tomato plants - feed how often?

    People pay more for packaging with pictures of nice juicy tomatoes.

      Nowt wrong with detail mode, it can highlight things that arent readily apparent that make a big difference.
      For instance, a lot of people advocate weakening the nutrient and feeding more often but fail to account for the additional calcium,magnesium iron etc in the tapwater so the plants get 2-5x as much calcium as they would with the recommended dosage, depending on the new dilution rate and watering frequency.
      If you use a lot of nutrient its a lot cheaper to make your own (mine costs about 0.2p/L) but for a few toms/cukes its more convenient to buy a bottle or box off the shelf.

      As I've said Hex, all I have are 3 in each of two window boxes and a patio pot with 3 in. Just enough for my OH and me,
