    Hi @CarolineL - Ah, so simlar to 'flasking' orchids , thats a specilist job if ever there was.

    Was used by members of that orchid forum I think I mentioned before, but are you doing it to help save certain species or to grow them for use in the 'garden' or resale, either way a long process .

    Seem to remeber there is a member from North America on this forum showing his flasking journey.

    Yes, the aim is to help repopulate native orchids - especially in Wales. It will be slow! As compared to the tomatoes of this thread - I have just pricked out my Lidl mixed cherry toms - germination in about a week. Whereas the orchids will be 5 years to flowering...
