I used to hate topiary, until visiting Levens Hall in the Lake District http://www.levenshall.co.uk/ (whose topiary gardens, dating back to 1694 are undeniably inspirational (and authentic!).

Came home, and several years later, have three small box 'shapes', of which I am quite proud! Also spent time in the local Portrack Garden, clipping the immense box hedging in the Garden of Cosmic Speculation http://www.flickr.com/photos/tags/charlesjencks/. Still haven't lost the love for topiary (though have the back pain to convince me otherwise!)

Have no time for people who have to buy 'ready made'. As Dendro said, the fun is in the creating!

Only mods can delete posts now, Jarbax - you could ask them to do it, and I'm sure they wouldn't mind!

Didn't think of alliums, Stingo! I was thinking of something a lot smaller!! Just goes to show you should never presume :rolleyes: :D

I wouldn`t buy one.But if mr.fiz came home with one from work i`d say thankyou very much.....
then sell it on E bay! :D
