    Its all interesting stuff folks, particually like the Kauri link, will have to look at it at length later.
    Shiney, is the cog wheels and the cabinet both made of Kauri Pine?
    Brings to mind Bog Oak, but thats another story.

    That face carving must weigh a ton Marley, difficult to get in the hand luggage I would think. :D

    Pete, yes they are both made of Kauri pine. Apparently the cogs had been in use for many years in a saw mill.
