Are you using AI servo focusing Mode? Worth experimenting with. watch battery life though

 

they were at the british super bikes, They said they like my shirt (i was wearing a guy martin shirt) they said although it could be tweaked

 

I used the semi auto dial on the top of the camera, sport setting, with the lens set to automatic focusing, the only chance I'd have of getting the shots. It's the first time I've taken pictures at TT and I took sixty shots in all!

My battery certainly dwindled but I've re-charged today.

 

Ok, I would still try a few on AI servo. If you do, review each shot and zoom in to check for sharpness. I don't want to be responsible if it doesn't help and you get duff shots. On the other hand, they may just come out sharper

It looks like the 1100D has a mode to automatically detect moving subjects and to continuously refocus. I think you have to set it to that mode though (like AI servo). Maybe your camera is set to AI focus.

I need to go one year. I bet the hotels/b & b's are expensive

 

NG.....Word has it here that TT for next year is already fully booked, particularly with the Steampacket although cancellations may come up. The chances of getting a B&B are almost nil but if you are prepared to camp there's plenty of sites for that. The Steampacket doubles it's prices for TT even for residents wanting to leave the island. It would cost me £500 to get me and my car off.

I will be seeing friends of mine, visiting the island on a bike sometime this coming week, so I'll check out the cost for you.
