TT Isle Of Man - Any Of You Watching It?

1. Yes, they do.....speeds around a 150mph! This year the fastest lap was 132.298 miles mph.
2. It's not a big island either.....correction to your post.....approximately 35 miles long by nine miles wide.
3. No it's not shaped like three legs, known as the triskelion.
4. It's expensive to get to at any time of year compared to other places, but TT puts the prices up further.
5. It's Capital is Douglas although it's not a city. Peel is it's city.

The Isle of Man Steampacket shipped 12,050 bikes to the island for TT and 36,800 passengers. That doesn't include those that flew here.

The TT course is approximately 38 miles round and the mountain stretch is made one-way for the duration of TT when roads are closed or open.

The island is the only place in Britain that has no speed limit in de-restricted areas, in other words on the mainland you are restricted to 70mph I believe, here you can do any speed you like in excess of that.

That seems really odd that the measurements vary from site to site. I trust 'you' though

 

I went 4 years ago....loved it.
Now, we tour Europe instead, more riding and visit beautiful places and eat and drink red wine...haha.
Just come back from France, Germany ( Nurburgring and Baden Baden) Switzerland ( the alps and gotthard pass) lake como and finally Verona, Italy. We where back to watch TT race week too!

Mines a honda cbr1000rr, there's a yamaha r1, Kawasaki zxr750 and a honda blackbird.
