Cameroon has quit because he knows what is on offer regarding Brexit negotiations - accept Schengen post Brexit or no tariff free trade deal.

      Boris runs it close!

:wow: - the polls were correct.

We're in for a rough time with the exit negotiations - the EU want to 'discourage' other countries from leaving. On the other hand - tariffs work for both sides.

Scotland and NI possibly separating - vote of no confidence for Jezza and Dave taking his ball home - things have certainly been shaken up - a kick up the rear for the establishment.

              Gotta laugh:
The cost of our EU membership before rebate, grants and aid was £18 billion (or less than 1% of our GDP). Yet the Bank of England has pledged a bail out fund of £250 billion (over 10% of our GDP) plus extra available in the form of foreign currency if required.
As the Leave campaign said, it makes sound financial sense

A motion of no confidence in Jeremy Corbyn has been issued by the labour party. Looks like he's on borrowed time.

I'm not surprised Liverpool voted to stay. We've had a massive amount of money from the EU which we would never have been allocated by our own government. Also car manufacturing and it's associated supply chain is a huge employer here. Today people are very worried about their jobs.

I personally voted remain, but after reading some of the statements coming out of Europe today, I'm glad we overall voted out.

The tone appears to be, all deals are off, and Britain will do exactly as it's told for the remainder of its it's membership term.

Sturgeon, predictably, is calling for another Scottish referendum. Now, suppose they get it and she ploughs on ahead to join Scotland with the EU. The EU have categorically stated that there would be no "going back" on Brexit. But, if Scotland is no longer a part of the UK and joins the EU then surely, the opportunity would then also exist for England/Wales to re-join the EU as the UK would no longer exist?

The people of Wales have voted out but as they were saying on the TV this lunchtime, the Welsh have had thousands/Millions pumped into their country by the EU to try and help regenerate large areas of the country so it looks like they might have shot themselves in the foot as I imagine that that money will stop either straight away or in the future:scratch:

One of my sisters keeps messaging me talking all gloom and doom now this has happened and she is now worrying about her two newborn Grandchildren and how it will affect their future and how the house prices are going to drop and that food and fuel prices will soon be going up,but I am sure it won't stop her spending as much of her husbands money as she can and her daughter and daughter in law will still be spending loads of money on their new babies and they like us will all manage just fine:snorky:

I should add that is only because of what actually happened in the last general election, and not aimed at Scottish people in general.

Just shows what really happens in a "Democratic" vote.

As usual with all politicians, they're talking a load of cods... According to Article 50 (the part about how to leave the EU) it refers to rejoining under article 49. Article 49 is the one where any country that qualifies can apply for membership. If we qualify then we can rejoin. This is subject to a vote of the members but they must have valid reasons for refusing.

Of course, the whole section is a load of rubbish as they allowed Greece to join and they didn't qualify!!!
