Well what an interesting day! I've been called an idiot for voting out by a Scottish man at work, I didn't rise to it, someone else told me to leave the building! I just said 'would you like to have a vote on that one?....I think me leaving would be a bad idea for you in this case!!' It was then made into a joke & all is now ok....(unless I got the wrong end of the stick we all had an opportunity to vote & make our own decision! why some people have to get stressed out with people voting against them is beyond me!) Boris decided not to stand for PM , that can only be a good thing! Mother in law brought me 2 fushias! God only knows what that's all about , but nevertheless it was very kind of her! Last but by no means least, we have some candidates for PM, here's my choice so far, May is in joint place with Crab, I think either would be a good choice at the moment .
Not sure about Crab, mainly because I don't think he's had enough time to get properly settled into his present job and he's rising too soon and too quickly. I still shudder inwardly when I remember Thatcher and her Thugs, but I have to confess Therasa May might the one for the job. Nobody could trust Gove, and he's not well liked publically and he, himself, has said he's not equipped for the job, nor did he want it.
I'm pouring you a nice glass of red. The guy must have as much intelligence as a bag of hair! Thank goodness you're the one with brains (and class) and your work should be happy that you have raised the average IQ there. Now, all together, Cheers!
I've not had chance to google yet, I'm far too busy on GC tonight, but someone at work mentioned someone by the name of Fox going for PM, who is he? I can't think who he is? Any thoughts about him?
He was the former Defence Secretary who took his lobbyist best friend on foreign trips who in turn pretended to be on govt business, Fox was forced to resign. This wasn't very long ago, I can't see him as a serious choice.
It's Friday so just reporting in before my 5K run - the 88th of this year as it happens. The pound is at 1.20 against the euro so alas the promised 1.40 has not materialised. No cases or even bottles of Sancerre for me I'm afraid...I know elites, experts, specialists etc are taboo at the moment but Dr Chris Bickerton gave a talk at the LSE before the vote - he's an 'outie' - his take is very interesting and goes some way to explain the dire state of politics in the UK. http://www.lse.ac.uk/newsAndMedia/videoAndAudio/channels/publicLecturesAndEvents/player.aspx?id=3533
