Wasn't he the Prime Minister that promised to give away half of our rebate from the EU (which Maggie negotiated) in exchange for concessions - and gave away half of our rebate and got nothing in return?

Well Teflon Tony does not seem to be Mr Personality in the gardening community. I never thought my post would release this torrent of disdain for him.
Would love to see a national opinion pole on his popularity , and rub his nose in the result :snork:

Good morning if this post causes any offence to anyone then I apologise profusely ,its just woos personal opinion and lies close to his heart through certain events in his past ;)

Human nature being what it is(,just like the way football managers are treated),when they are winning they are flavour of the month, when decisions are judged to be the wrong decisions they are pilloried ,I remember when the majority said he was the best thing since sliced bread oh the frailty of human nature:dunno::sofa:

I don't remember him being the best thing since sliced bread either.

I remember him being the leader of a party that many saw as a viable alternative to John Major's conservatives that were still reeling from Thatchers unpopular poll tax fiasco.

I wonder how the country would have fared under John Smith if he hadn't died suddenly from a heart attack.I seem to remember that was probably why we had another election in the first place but it has been so long ago I can't remember off hand.

I wasn't a Labour voter in those days but did vote Labour to get Tony Blair in because I could never see the Liberals getting in to power so it would have been a wasted vote and there was no way was I ever going to vote for the woman that caused me and Mr Kandy to lose our jobs:mad:
I think Tony Blair also had started to get heart problems due to the stress of the job,one reason why he got out when he did but can't remember much about that either:snorky:

You dont have to know someone personally, who is in the public eye, to decide whether you like them or not.
I dont really care if TB is a wonderful person or not, his public image is rubbish, and that is what counts, being someone who likes to talk down to everyone.
