Project Fear was launched today by dave cameron. Hes meant to be negotiating at the moment on our behalf and yet today he came out with this drivvle and more or less said hes in favour of staying in.

How can he negotiate for a better deal if the Europeans now know they dont have to give an inch because the PM wants to stay in anyway.?

This referendum will be one sided, full of scare stories, lies, and trickery. Will the British people be daft and fall for this or be open minded and make their decision based on truths whichever way they vote?

It's all about whether or not the French Government wants to drop the 2003 agreement between France and the UK allowing our Border checks to be carried out on French soil. Obviously Calais would like to be rid of the immigrant camps and the problems they bring but it's not up to the Deputy Mayor of Calais who, today, was saying the agreement will be dropped if the UK leaves the EU. The EU is a bi-lateral agreement between two countries and is separate to the EU but, of course, some French and some UK groups will argue that it will be dropped if we leave.
I'm pretty sure we could make other arrangements to examine documents before people board a Ferry, train or vehicle to cross over onto UK soil. I can't see why we would have Immigrant Camps in the South of England if we controlled our borders more strictly and dropped the Political Correctness that seems to dog efforts to do so.:coffee:

Yep, he said the "jungle" that is now situated in Calais would be moved to Kent.
That would only happen if we allowed it to.
Surely we would be able to send them back to the EU to claim asylum there, which is what they should be doing anyway.

And if we did let it happen, I doubt it would be a shanty town like you see in Calais, they would have got where they wanted to go, so disperse all over the country.

The cameron negotiations were a scam from day one, and the more he says, the more he puts his foot in it.
There's a saying about giving someone enough rope, etc. etc...........

Got a feeling his bit of rope just might have a noose at the end of it.
Or is that just wishful thinking.;)

Well, the "Stay in the EU" girls and boys are saying that it will take up to a year to export them back...which is partially true if we are politically correct. The problem appears to be that immigrants on French soil can't claim Asylum in the UK, but once they're on UK soil they can, which triggers a lot of procedures and organisation that "Immigrant Chasers" Lawyers make a good living out by using the system to their own advantage, slowing it all down by appeal after appeal. We need to sort out the Legal system so that that doesn't happen.:dunno::coffee:

Maybe if we dumped the EU we could go back to using them to wrap fish and chips in.

Cant think of any other use.

I think it's naive to think we can keep the juxtaposed borders deal if we sack the EU. It's kind of like when the Scottish salmonella bloke said Scotland would keep the pound and all the north sea oil if they left the UK. We all laughed. The French will equally laugh at our claims that we'll keep the juxtaposed borders deal if we sack them off.

Whatever we decide, we must push naive wishful thinking aside and accept that we're going to get spanked either way now. Voting tostay in is like giving Germany and Brussels a green light to do whatever they want, and voting to leave is going to cost us a fortune in work to replace our dependencies on the EU with some sort of independent capabilities.

There'll be no jolly handshakes and bravos for the 'better man' on the day after the referendum. It will be more akin to a size 10 bovva boot coming down firmly on the face of the loser.

Yep, the legal system stinks, and that is true of most counties.

But we dont want them claiming asylum in the UK, France let them into their country, so they should be made to claim asylum in France.

True, but the Deputy Mayor of Calais was correct and direct when he said that "the immigrants had no intention or desire of staying in Europe or France itself or claiming Asylum there......they solely wanted to go to the UK"
