Got one wrong in the second test.

I'm annoyed about one of the questions in the first (Meghan) test as they have the American spelling and not the English spelling. Were we supposed to spot the deliberate mistake? :heehee:

They also got the National Insurance contributions question wrong. You don't pay it if you keep working after retirement age.

Also didn't take into account the lower earnings limit (LEL) but I guess they didn't think they would be getting many applicants that are of pensionable age or earning less than the LEL.

To start the settlement process in the UK as a non British citizen and of pensionable age, then you must have savings of £62500, cash not investments. You would be then granted a 30 month settlement visa, then a 30 month extension visa would be required before applying for ILR after 5 years. You can only apply for British citizenship after 5 years if you are married to a British national, if not, you must wait a further 12 months before you can apply.

I hope one day to move to Thailand, maybe even Vietnam, It will not cost me anything as much as what the UK does for visa's, plus I only have to make sure I have £10,000 in a Thai bank every time I renew my visa.

Not quite the same if you want to retire in New Zealand. You have to be able to invest 400k for two years in the country and also have 250k to available cash and 30k income. :rolleyespink:

Even that only gives you a temporary resident visa.
