When I said fluent, I might have been exaggerating a bit. I know how to say cheers in multiple languages.

 

This sums up Putin's Russia in a nut shell.

Russian designed/manufactured IL-76 air craft. 4 engines - if 1 engine breaks down mid air - the aircraft crashes into the ground and goes boom.

Western designed/manufactured Airbus A330 air craft. 2 engines - if 1 engine breaks down mid air - the pilot shrugs his shoulders and flies to a nearby airport for a normal landing.

An IL-76 did a belly flop today apparently.

The F-16's are going to wipe the floor with Putin's air force.

 

If the F16 s fly into Russia then give your kids and grand children a last goodbye hug.

There won't be any winners to gloat, just a few billionaires and some rotting politicians left living like rats in their bunkers.

 

I was reading on the news about how Putin has ordered his new NATO borders to be reinforced.

I wonder if that will indirectly help Ukraine. It seems to me you can only reinforce a limited length of line. I'm certainly no military strategist, so anyone who knows better than me, by all means correct me if I'm wrong (I know you all will). The way I see it, to watch NATO more closely, Russia will need to reallocate troops and equipment potentially away from the Ukraine front.

If I was a cynical sort, I might catch myself thinking this is a way for NATO to fight Russia without actually fighting. Just do enough activity in the new NATO states to keep Russia focused on them, let Russia spread themselves a bit thin, hopefully without any actual physical confrontation.

 

It has been stated that Hitlers big mistake was opening up WW2 on two fronts.
In the west and the east at the same time.

Putin has a very long border to patrol now, so they must be spread thin personnel wise.

 

Putin at it again:

Russia is believed to have jammed the GPS signal of an RAF aircraft carrying Grant Shapps during a trip to Poland.

The attack left phones unable to connect to the plane’s WiFi and the pilots had to use other means of navigation.

I presume 'other means of navigation' means that the pilot looked out of the window...

 

I think they follow railway lines and motorways.

 

It's all kicking off inside Russia now by the looks of it. There's a paramilitary organisation made up of Russians that fight on the side of Ukraine. It would seem they've been conducting a number of strikes inside Russia over the last few days. That in itself is not new, but it looks like it's a bit bigger than their past efforts of intel gathering and sabotage.

 

Or maybe as we say round here " as the crow flies"
