Never mind the US cutting off its air space - looks like sea access is going the same way. Putin must be wearing his special brown trousers...

UK ports are "working at pace" to block Russian ships after the UK passed a law banning them from entering port, a trade body has said.

The UK was the first country to make such a move due to Russia's invasion of Ukraine, and the EU is considering a ban.

Yes he will lose in the long run, same as when Russia invaded Afghanistan in 1979, it took a good few years before they had enough and left.

Quite clearly he doesn't know it, the man is plain bonkers.

It may well be that his generals are too scared to tell him the truth as to how it is going. He certainly won't believe the west's "propaganda".
Also appears that there is an unintended embargo on Russian oil due to traders being afraid to buy it due to problems shifting it around the world.

I think he knows how things are going, which is why he has stepped up the destruction of civilian targets, the walk over didn't happen and I'm really wondering just how good the Russian army are if they were to come up against a fully trained and supplied professional army from NATO.

It could of course be the Adolf Hitler syndrome that he wont let his Generals run the show and he wants too much input.
Got to admit I dont know Putins background, maybe he was a corporal.

That's probably because they'll either get shot or get a swift dose of Novichok to bump them off for speaking up!

Ironically Putin shows similar traits to Hitler. He had the nerve to address the world stating "neo natzi's" were governing Ukraine. And yet unlike him President Zelensky (who is truly worthy of the title) was democratically voted in with a huge majority. Putin is no more than a gangster.

I agree, he has no regard for human life at all, (or any other life I shouldn't think) and not even his own country-folk. He has no conception of what love, compassion, regard for fellow humans etc are - and he is totally deranged and arrogant beyond any imagination. I hope someone gets rid of him SOON.

Yes, some of the parallels with Hitler are very alarming! I found this brief video from Israel Advocacy Movement quite interesting. It is my observation that those on both the Far-Left and Far-Right often project their extremism onto others, I think it's a feeble attempt to take the attention away from them! :dunno:

I've never watched it, but I suppose it would be good to see the propaganda from their side as well as our own.

Yes - absolutely. I quite like Al Jazeerah. It often gives a much more balanced view of what's happening in the middle east than we get at home. They have to be doing something right: they are hated by the dictators over there and by the cancellers at home! They have some excellent and well reputed journalists. RT less so: just a propaganda tool as far as I have ever been able to tell.

Sadly I think that his world view is shared by huge numbers of Russians. They look at us an NATO and call us hypocrites. When NATO created the state of Kosovo out of the Serb heartland, by bombing Serbia, we created what looks very much like a precedent to Russia. We then handed Kosovo over to be run by Albanian extreme nationalists - we would call them terrorists in other circumstances.

The Russians believe that if they show any weakness we will roll tanks over their borders and occupy them. That might sound crazy to us, but with their long enemies encroaching all around them, it makes complete sense to them. When we understand this siege mentality which they cultivate and live by, their actions make more sense.

It is still absolutely disgusting though.

Occasionally, but that probably tells you an awful lot more about the absolute state of British reportage than Al Jazeera's excellence. I find that they lose all sense of impartiality when the Israeli/Palestinian issue comes up, so pretty useless in that sense! But yeah, overall not quite as bad as Press TV or RT, their content seems more varied for one thing.
