It is not so much too many people but too many people wanting to live in the same places.

Unfortunately, autarky is a newer manufactured word supposed to be related to but different from autarchy. Confused? I live in a permanent state of that sort!

Well I think the planet is well over stocked but that's a slightly different argument.

But the way things are, with so many people fleeing wars all around the world and others just looking for a better life, we will find that all the worlds population is centred in smallish areas and others will be very sparsely populated.

Oh dear :nonofinger: - the Kremlin has accused the US of 'waging economic war' on Russia - they should have said 'waging economic special military operation' - someone in the Kremlin is going to be banged up for 15 years.

God forbid, but the way things are going this planet may be quite sparsely populated soon. All because of one nutter. If he wasn't such a perpetual liar you'd hope for a peace agreement with Putin but nothing he says can be relied upon.

Woking too but I don't have an issue with them. I do have an issue with them not being the type of dwelling that the council say they actually need, but I don't want to detract the issue at hand to a very long diatribe on how I detest council thinking and logic!

The issue(s) I have with them is that they are not affordable, they are putting massive strain on local infrastructure (a block of 100 flats where a car park used to be is 100 toilets and showers putting strain on the sewers for example) and they are being used by private investors to fleece councils out of as much money in housing benefits as possible to house people who would much rather be in a two bed-semi. We've learned zilch from the past.

Diesel selling for not far off £2 a litre, due to us not buying Russian oil.

Do I get the impression that jumping on the bandwagon has started already.

It started long, long ago. There is a thread of thought that the oil companies are caning the hell out of this as it could be their last boom before we all ditch them and go electric. They may in fact be forcing people's hands sooner than they wanted though

I thought the oil companies were getting involved with supplying charging points.

That will be their next move - meantime they are going to shaft us as hard as they can whilst we are still buying diesel.

There appears to be quite a few Shell charging stations in N.E. London already.

Just went onto my health care website and they are doing a go fund me for Ukraine, you put in X amount of money and they will match it up to £150.000.
Then tried Natwest and they are doing the same for Afghanistan.

Sorry my fuel bills are going up too much, everybody wants your money.

Agree, most people would class Spain as a sparsely populated country, yet it is actually more densely populated than England.

I mapped population density across Europe - England isn't as crowded as you think (inews.co.uk)

Some countries population is shrinking, with most of those being in Europe. An aging population with a shrinking working population brings new challenges to governments and to the health and social care sector.

You only have to see how the retirement age is increasing across the globe, mainly in the west. Some European countries are looking to link retirement age with life expectancy. Denmark is a prime example, depending when your born, the retirement age is currently between 66-68.
