Apparently the US does not have an endless supply of these missiles, so they may need to start up production.
Its not like you just keep making them if they are not being used, supply, without depleting NATO stocks of such weapons could be a problem.

I hate to think how much just one of these missiles costs.

True - but we also need to take into account that around 80% of the missiles Putin sends over are knocked out by other existing Ukrainian air defence systems. If Ukraine can mop up the remaining 20% using Patriot - then Putin will not be a happy chappy.

Sanctions are also bashing Putin more than the media are letting on - it will be the sanctions that get rid of Putin. He'll probably be poisoned or fall out of a window feet first.

The Russian bloggers on You Tube take us to a local supermarket - show us all the food that is on sale and infer from this that sanctions don't work. Well, yes they do - there are no sanctions on the necessities such as food - shippers have no issue with taking food to Russian ports.

Bombing civilian infrastructure simply means that Putin cannot beat the Ukrainian military. He will shortly be looking to purchase a pair of brown trousers for his trip to Argentina.

Interesting factoid - Russia's economy is smaller than that of Texas in the US. Looking at it from this perspective - Russia will run out of money to purchase weapons long before NATO.

Need to factor in what you can get by bartering missile and nuclear technology with Iran and North Korea.

          £3 million per missile, apparently.

As an aside…while we enjoy a traditional, safe and happy Christmas (as it should be), let us spare a thought for those that will have to endure something less than pleasant from their neighbours.

Our nearest small town (9,000 pop) was on the news yesterday for being so hospitable to 30 Ukrainians. The have settled in very well. :blue thumb:

Rod Stewart, who lives nearby, has said that he is renting a home for a family-of-seven Ukrainian refugees. Sir Rod has found a house, furnished it and pledged to pay rent and bills for at least a year. He hoped it may inspire others to help in some way.

He also hired three trucks filled with supplies for refugees and had them driven to Ukraine, before using the same vehicles to transport 16 people back to safety in Berlin.

"It just makes me want to do more. I am thinking of getting another house now and getting a lot more people over,”

There seems to be an increase in commentators telling everyone that the Russian economy has months left before all goes fubar. One bloke to state this is a Professor of Economics. So what does he know. Perhaps Putin has been telling porkies all this time.

I see another Russian billionaire has fallen from a hotel window. Two days earlier one of his friends died on the same trip (mistaken identity?).
This must be the Russian version of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it".

What is it with Russians and windows? Aren't they taught as nippers that humans don't bounce too well? :hate-shocked:

Most windows here have child proof catches or restriction on how far they open.
Just another way that they are really not keeping up.

Childproof catches won't do much if two burly FSB guys are holding you by the ankles.

Just pointing out that health and safety has moved on over here to avoid this kind of accidental death.
They just need to get a grip and stop this kind of accident.;)
