Unfortunate Names....

I had a chubby school friend whose surname was "Pounder". His parents named him "Arthur"

We called him "Tuppenny Rice"

Remember the old rhyme?

Arf' a pound of tuppenny rice,
Arf' a pound of treacle,
That's the way the money goes,
Pop goes the weasel!

 

I know someone called T(im) Witt and his brother is A(lan) T(revor) Witt!
Also know a Wendy House and M in Laws name was P Green!

 

PMSL T(im) Witt poor sod ! If school wasn't hard enough. Some names I hear you just know they are going to get beaten up!

 

Yep - parents can be cruel. My son went to school with a girl called Anna Spanner

Just remembered a lad at infant school who had a false leg,his surname was Hopper :D :D

 

i used to go to school with a girl called Opheelya Balls you never thought nothing of it at the time but how times change :eek: :D :D

and what about all them on Captain Pugwash can anyone remember that far back or am i just getting that bit older but not any wiser though

We have a doctor from the Women's clinic her name is Dr Willie :eek: can you believe it!!

 

In one class there was a Colin Parr and an Alan Pratt - and I could never remember which first name matched which second name, until one kid called out "Miss, it's dead easy, just think - "A Prat!" No problem after that! :D

I saw a cookery programme this morning hosted by Douglas Chew !

 

We had an art teacher at School called Mrs English - she was German :D

I used to work with some one called Ron(ald) Seal :D

And another guy galled Terry House, his brothers wife had a baby & they wanted to call him Maxwell !!!

& finally in Leamington Spa there is a firm of solicitors called Wright Hassle & co and an indian resturant in Kenilworth was called Balti Towers :D :D :D

 

Our solicitors in the IoW are called Careless & Co ..... ????? He is ACE though!
