Unhappy fox

Poor little mite so sad. Well done for being so caring pete. I hope it soon gets help in one way or...another.

 

He's just come into the garden and grabbed a sausage I put out there, he fell over twice trying to walk up the ramp I have over two steps and is laying in the bushes eating it.

 

He's pretty much collapsed in the garden now and looks like he cant get up.
Just trying and twitching, the fox people are not there after 6pm so ...........

One of the other foxes just saw him and stopped dead, then went away.

 

What about the RSPCA pete, just a thought.

I just called the local vet and they said they would look at it, but I cant catch it, its just scrambled on its side right up the garden through the undergrowth and gone behind the shed.

I'm getting to the point where I'm going to just have to leave it, the more I interfere the worse I'm making it.

 

I just found the fox, and buried it.

 

So sorry......but at least it's out of it's misery and it's a weight off your shoulders.

 

Oh dear sad I know Pete but for the best. He had a good friend in you too see him through his final days. Well done.

I think she must have been the vixen that had been having cubs for the last 4 or 5 yrs as this year there are no cubs, which is unusual.
There are still two foxes around, one looks young like possibly one of last years cubs.

 

Well done to you Pete for caring. I think you did all you could.

 

I am pleased she is now at peace and thank you Pete for sadly having to deal with it. It must be like losing a pet.

 

Strangely enough it is nearly as bad as losing an old friend from the animal world.
