Aubretia grows best on vertical walls so they don't like to get their feet wet. The green algae on those seed trays looks like they are much too wet. Stand the ends of the trays on blocks of wood or similar to give a good slope.

Cant you organise an Aubretia run - from where you live to where your relative lives? Ive done it with a bunny all the way from me to Newcastle ;)

[IMG] Hey DAG, I got two solar fans for one greenhouse to try them out. They are very efficient when running. Trouble is you do need really bright sun for the panels.. The only ones I found were 4", but as I say you need lots of sun so waiting for the summer to really find out about them. Will let you know how they shape up in the summer if you like... [IMG]

Thanks for all the replies, sorry I have had computer problems for over a day and just found out what it was!

elainefiz: snap, same pots I use, surprised you still have the bubble wrap in use? ;)

Hornbeam: Sounds like a good idea, so bottom watering was probably not?

marge: Perhaps I would have done 50 years ago! :D :D

Marley Farley: Yes, would be interested, I suppose the argument would be that it's only when you get lots of sun that you need the extra breeze?

Unfortunately, try telling the aphids that! ;)

:D OK DAG will let you know. We could also do with the air being moved round on those warm, dull, damp days in summer as well & it doesn't look like they will work then.. Have to see I suppose..... [IMG]
