Super spider image, Robert. Now, although your wasp images are striking, they make me shiver. I'm being plagued by them at present, the ordinary kind and the smaller wood wasp. Still, come the colder weather and they'll all disappear again, thank goodness.

 

I have a small bird box that has been resident with small wasps all summer, When I know its safe I intend to dismantle it and make up a little documentary for my GC friends. Should be interesting.

 

Doing a bit of clearing this morning and came across this little gritter.
Its only about 1cm long so as catapillors go its a titch

 

Nice images again, Robert.:thumb: Any idea which type it is? I don't envy your task at swopping the wasps nest around. I'd be nervous even if it was covered in frost and twenty below.:flag:

Today was the day to remove the wasp nests from the bird box.
Just a few close ups of the remains inside.

 

Incredible close ups Caps:gnthb:, couldn't get them with my camera (it's one failing).

 

Thats so neat, and the close up's are cool.
