I didn't have knickers on when I had my knee replacement ... but had my bum peeking out the back so I could have a spinal block. :hate-shocked: It is probably different with key hole surgery. :fingers crossed:

Hello everyone and a huge thanks for all your uplifting good wishes.:grphg:

Just a quick up date ...all went well, they did discover that almost all the Meniscus needed removing and so did the chunk of newly developed bone growth too.
it will obviously take a bit longer to get back into full swing but I am managing to walk on it and decided that I didn't require the crutches that they offered...and the physiotherapist was OK with this, especially when I said that if needed then I had one at home.:blue thumb:

It's now getting extremely painful as all the stronger meds have worn off. I wasn't given a prescription for anything stronger, just advised to keep topped up with Paracetamol.....never thought that they do much and it's certainly proving me right at the moment!!

Need to see the Consultant in 2-3 weeks time to have the inner dressing removed.

A much nicer one..view from my hospital window looking out over St Catherine's Hill...and the Maternity Unit roof top where I spied a young couple gently placing their new born into their car before driving off to begin the adventures of parenthood and it evoked some very happy memories indeed.
                  :)

Oh @Upsydaisy that looks really serious. I'd send you a box of fudge if I could. Fingers crossed the paracetemol works (whatever that is ) and you're getting pampered.

Thanks Lori, it's not serious really, it was just made more problematic because I didn't realise what had happen, delayed seeking medical adivce( Covid lockdowns didn't help either ) and just ended up hobbling around on it for almost 2yrs.

Just have to let Mother Nature and a strict recovery exercise routine heal it.

Yes I'm being well looked after by hubs.:recliner:

Have you heard of any of these over your way , I think there's one similar??

I'm glad the surgery went well Upsydaisy and you're now on the mend. :) You should be fit as a fiddle by the time we see some decent weather.
