    Forget Charismatic or colored, Ill settle for competent. Under labor this will never happen.

    As for Cameron, speaking from a conservative grass route level, most loath him however if he provides a 97 Blair affect in swinging voters then all good.

    I doubt he has the presence or indeed party support to bring about some of the laughable changes he spouts so frequently about therefore the traditional conservative values will prevail.

    And so, getting back on topic, as they say.

    I knew he was Irish, with a name like that.

    So he not only got the black vote, he got the Irish vote as well.

    How could he lose:lollol:

    I really have no opinion on Obama ,good ,bad or indifferent.
    What worries me is the troops in Iraq he wants to bring "home" ,if he rushes into that and leaves the British holding the fort .

    I think I saw a news report that the Brits are being completely withdrawn from Iraq next year.

    I think its more likely to be the other way round, but thats not to say that our lads have not been doing their bit, more a matter of lack of proper equipment in order to do their own bit.

    Anyway good ole Gordon is promising to send troops to the Congo if necessary, so he will have to get them out of Iraq first.

    Wont he?:skp::scratch:

    What's the difference between a "grass-roots" Tory and a UKIP supporter then, P.G.:scratch:

    A LOT of critics are finding fault and BEFORE the man is actually Inaugeratted. IF they are so Perfect, WHY haven't they been elected instead?

    But, Mikkel, isn't that what politics is about :scratch:. You put yourself up there to have mud slung at you :hehe:

    Whether we like it or not, peoples' votes are greatly influenced by the image that the politicians project. Once the election is over we have no influence at all and we became pawns in the politicians game. So all we can do is pick fault in whoever wins - there's no fun in picking fault in the loser :). That's human nature.

    Just going off to buy myself a new 'grumpy old man' hat :lollol:
