Is this what it says, or is it just the tropicanna? If its just the tropicanna then it's mis labelled.

I think its a variation of canna durban , I even went back to the garden center on my own , and the canna wasn`t there anymore.
even seen another variation of canna durban the red leaves.
Similar to the red in the picture , looked unreal the red was really bright.

Some people really like their variegated plants. The Japanese pay insane amounts for variegated succulents.
Personally I don't see why they are so special.
I recently got a variegated Colocasia from Himalayan Garden - didn't order it, but it was sent to me as a substitute.

I'm no lover either, but I do make two exceptions because the blooms are so good.
          The first is Iris japonica................

          The second is Alstromeria psittacina................

I have to be the first to admit I'm no fan of variegated plants and I've yet to meet a graft hybrid I actually liked/had a use for however I do find that I'm a fan of a number of "sports" such as on Epiphyllum for instance there is a paticualrly well known commonly grown epi which is red however there is a little known but lovley sport of this plant which is basically the same yet the flower petals have very small serrated almost featherd cuts at the edges similar to that iris :wub2:

I didn't even know 50% of what you posted existed as a variegated version Sal!

What about that Phoenix canariensis in the Canary Islands.

Not entirely sure how that's survived, it must struggle.
