Ah, the joys of northern Britain.
Down here on the Solent, all is joy and sunshine but moderated by cool Northerly breeze, with overnight mist.
Potatoes all in (earlies only) . Prestarted onionsets planted out , 4" shoots. Seeded shallots also.
Leafy oriental greens and spinach, rocket planted out for April/May cropping, lettuce going out when they are bigger (7 days), broad beans spring sown now growing quickly. Peas awaiting planting out from gutters (7 days)
Direct sown radishes up and away, carrots (first ) in but not up.
Only 2mm rain in last 8 weeks, could do with some warm and gentle.
Snow ?, keep it in Scotland !!

Sowed my leeks a couple of days ago in a tray. Elefant, blue green winter and American flag. All peas, salads and onions still in modules in the greenhouse, at least a week more for most of them maybe two more weeks before planting out under fleece. Broad beans and potatoes the only things planted out year. Still some leeks left from last year which will hopefully grow big over the next month and the garlic is slowly taking off

Planted out the peas and onions, both under fleece with some slug pellets. They were just about ready to go in and we have a week of warm weather forecast so seemed like a good idea. Everything else needs another week or two. I did plant the radish in the greenhouse as well

              Yep, done that.
Watched likely clouds from your direction lastnight(weatherradar) only to see them disappear over the South Downs.(so frustrating!)

@infradig , ha ha you reminded me of my father on his Allotment. His site was just below crystal Palace in S London. He used to look longingly up the hill towards the TV mast and say, "Look at those clouds passing us by again, sometimes you'd think this was the dust bowl of England"

Trying to play cricket traditionally brings rain.

I can also offer to press The Button.

The Child and her friend believed for quite a while that I have a magic button on my washing machine- as soon as I press it, the clouds will gather and the rain will start to fall. Quite an admired feature in the Mediterranean where we lived at the time

The button trick still works here in the Northern England, but carries lesser "WOW"- factor :dunno:

I've bought some leek seedlings and some onion seedlings, and I would like to know when is the right time for me to plant them in my raised bed.

Make sure they are hardened off then plant anytime, they can take a bit of frost.

Managed to plant out the module grown peas today. Half standard peas the rest mangetout. Ground is very dry so I had to water well, then put chicken wire over hoops to stop the pigeons getting them. Then slug pellets. By the time you do all that it doubles the time the job should take!:noidea:

That reminds me I picked the forced Rhubarb on Monday as it was coming out of the top of the forcing pots. Lovely pink stems, my wife roasted the cut up stems in oven then froze them for future use.
