        Just sown:
        pumpkins:

        3x Cornels Bush Delicata
2x "Sweet Lightning" seedling I THINK (was from a market)
        2x Incan Gold

        Cucumbers:
        2x Delistar
2x Itachi (a strange white cucumber)
        2x French Gherkin

the first two cuces are female only so im hoping the gherkin has males to pollinate for seeds, that way I can grow the itachis kids next year as theyre very expensive f1s.

I guess I should do succession sowing and sow some more cuces in a month.

I have so many pumpkin seeds now idk what to sow. Theyre so big I dont have space! Might toss some seeds by the bus stop or something :ideaIPB:

Yesterday's pickings at the allotment, the last winter cauliflower, purple sprouting, still digging last year's potatoes and parsnips

Garlic growing a bit more now, inside and out. Removed the salads from the greenhouse and watered heavily in anticipation of putting down a couple of inches of homemade compost and planting the tomatoes in a couple of weeks

Went to the Allotments. Managed to get 2nd early Charlotte, and maincrop, Sarpo Mira in. Exhausted now, by the time I take out a furrow, use the spud planter to put them in, then dig out compost from the "finished " bin,. A layer of compost , handful of fertilizer pellets, 2 cans of water per row, then finally ridge them up.
It's a bit of an effort but without it, the crop is poor. Hope the sluds leave them alone this time.

Been busy at plots recently. Finished erecting the fruit cage and finally got the new raspberry canes in. I haven't done all the supports and wires etc yet they can wait till there's more growth. It's so dry again I spent the first hour today just watering, even though there's still not that much growth yet. Things like the Asparagus the strawberry bed, the broad beans and early peas. I brought the tomatoes out of the greenhouse to enjoy a day in the sun but they will go back tonight. Still loads to do, but making progress at last.
