    I'm curious to know what you've made your paths out of. Is that hardcore by chance?

    There's raised beds and there's raised beds. Mine are different again!

    These basket surrounded tubs are built on table especially for me by my son as I have very limited mobility in the garden. Garden Peas this end and beetroot, carrot and onions the other end. I also have an old fashioned bungalow bath in which I have sown two circles of sweet peas which will have teepees of bamboo canes to support them in a week or so once they have got high enough. :)

      The pathways were constructed using something called 'Fittleworth Stone' It's similar to say crushed sandstone and once laid, it can be easily repaired or topped up. It also allows water to drain through.
      Sadly the quarry that supplies it has now shut down.:sad:

      It would be a Wealden sandstone as far as I remember, or a shelly limestone.

      Used to go bottle digging in Fittleworth, still got a nice earthenware hotwater bottle from there.
