Verbena hastata - is it worth growing?

Happy to report that it does not require staking, which is possibly the only positive thing I can say about it!

 

Mine has never self seeded, but V. bon doesn't readily seed here either. Perhaps that will change if we keep getting these horrible mild winters.

It would probably be fine where you are @Plantminded, especially with your soil
