Thanks, my dearesr, I'm pleased with that aspect.

Thank you also, dendro. It would be the "crater" thingy in the middle mountain which suddenly seems a bit "alien" and I haven't been "shadows" for the trees in the lake ... but I tend not to put shadows as it suit my style.

It's weird, I seem to have my two styles at the moment and I quite like each equally. Odd, isn't it? But life is odd.

Thanks, dendro, is that this style or my "soft" (Aussie) style or both?

I have a problem because I have an astigmatism in my left eye and things seem correct to me when I do them but then are completely wrong when I look after, usually after I post a picture.

Thank you, DAG (I didn't say so in my last comment, sorry). I didn't slightly darken that "crater".

And thank you, elainefiz. I feel like I could walk / swim into the caves.

I'm working on my most challenging ever at the moment but hopefully it will be put up over the weekend!

Love your paintings lol, i took up painting a few years ago, but haven't painted for a long time as i ran out of space to hang them, keep saying i will start again sometime, but they are not so good as yours. Would show them to you but can't get on with photo bucket as it's changed since i did it last. Have some pics of the new year fancy dress party we went to and can't show them either. [IMG]

Thank you, Kathy3 and thank you, wg!

I hadn't painted for 15 years or more (can't even remember how long ago it was!) except for some wall art here in my garden several years ago. Then these wonderful GC folk, who had already got me into digital photography, encouraged me to start painting again and here I am a couple of months later ...

Like you, I have nowhere to hang such especially as I paint on stretched canvas but I am fortunate to have found an outlet that has asked me to put my paintings on display.

My latest is not here, but in a thread called Algarve Sunset ... and there's bananas ...

I will be posting another one here tomorrow.

With some encouragement, could we coax you into starting again ????????

River's End ... by kind permission of DaveW ...

There are actually two paintings of this. As was mentioned in the Algarve Sunset thread, I do an outline to work by, then add the detail on top. When I did the outline for River's End, t'other half walked in and said, "I'm having that, you can start again." So I did. This is what is hanging over his computer now ...

    Surf ...

Gosh, it's been a while since I visited here but I have not been sitting idle, as you know with the Algarve Sunset posted in another thread.

I would now like to share with you, with Banana Man's kind permission, another painting commissioned by him as a 60th birthday present for his father-in-law.

It was again a big challenge for me as I have never done such before so am going through various learning curves at the moment.

Cwmtillery Lakes, in Glamorgan, South Wales, my homeland as well as BM's wife and family ...

... and it's even longer since I was in Wales ... I have a correction to make, Cymtillery Lakes are in Gwent, the bordering county to Glamorgan.

Many apologies to all who I may have offended! [IMG] [IMG]

That's wonderful LofL! I love the browns and greens and the detail superb. BM, your father-in-low will be thrilled with it - if you and Mrs BM can part with it! Wish him a Happy Birthday from us as well.
