Gosh, it's active here all of a sudden!

Got a bit of reflection on the glass, Babe, but it looks ace ... No 1! [IMG]

Cwmtillery Lakes has come out nice ... the water is more reflected now. I've forwarded it to t'other half to maybe replace the other in the Archives. [IMG]

Webmaster, I know I sometimes speak for other people, so I'll speak for my sister now as she is getting ready to go to the airport and has logged off I think. She's going to our cousin's in Bedfordshire.

We've had storms today so gardening was out of the question ... therefore, the paintbrush materialised again! [IMG]

With rosa's kind permission, I have used her beauttiful watercolour, Oriental Beauty (which I proudly have in my possession [IMG] ) to attempt such with acrylics. I certainly have not had the success rosa has as I am not good with detail, but ... here is rosa's (on 60cm x 43cm A3? watercolour paper)...

... and here is mine, The Oriental Express, done on a 20cm x 60cm stretched canvas ...

Doesn't have the same impact, me thinks! :(

It's a very different style, Lol - but I don't think you can realistically compare it to Rosa's picture. They have the same basis, but treated very differently.

I like yours, and one of the things I like about it is the rearrangement of the layout - being tall works, IMHO!

Hi Webmaster, sorry I've taken so long to reply and now that I am doing so, I am writing in my cousin's name, so to speak, who is now also a member.

I am visiting in Beds, in a beautiful village up on a hill, where my cousins live.

Thanks, dendro, your thoughts are definitely appreciated. [IMG] I wasn't "copying" rosa as she knwos but the style.

It was just one of those things I HAD to try! [IMG]

T'other half loves this one, the colour is a bit more vibrant than shows up because I had the flash on to take this photo and perhaps shouldn't have?
