    I haven't been sitting idle ... I don't have time for that!

I had done a painting after I did the Algarve Sunset and it had no WOW factor so I put it to the side. I have now "uplifted" the painting somewhat ... I think painting Cwmtillery Lakes helped! [IMG]

The lake at Santa Clara, Alentejo, here in Portugal ...

And now for the other side of me and painting, the surrealistic side.

    Fire in the Sky ...

Both paintings are done on 30cm x 40cm stretched canvas. They look slightly different in size because of my photography and cropping! :D

Have just come on and found these - very nice LofL, I especially like the Lake at Santa Clara. Didn't you take a pic of it some time ago on one of your Sunday photo shoots and a couple of us said that it would make a nice painting? The sky in the Fire in the Sky is gorgeous, such skies seem to be your thing.

Thanks K-G. Yes, you're right, this is one from a Sunday outing and both you and Waco suggested I paint it, but I lost interest in it and then decided to finish it off yesterday.

    Thank you DAG and Marley.

There's a re-work in the offing to remove Moses parting the sea and softening it somewhat in Fire in the Sky. Planned on doing it today, but had a Portuguese friend suddenly appear this afternoon from Surrey without warning! Tomorrow is shopping so looks like Friday ... I'll re-post.

Oh, dear ... here is the re-work and I hope I'm not going down the Algarve Cove path again of losing perspective ...

Excellent so far and so far, so good, I personally feel it needs the silhouette of a yacht and maybe some seagulls added to give it a subject and finish it off, but that's just me! [IMG] [IMG]

Thank you, Kandy. [IMG] They are night and day, however (in comparison)! :D :D

DAG, my Poppet ... b***ar off with your silhouettes of yachts ... perhaps I could manage a seagull or two but they may spoil my minimilisticness (is that a word?)! [IMG]

Ahhh, you unleashed your wrath on those naughty Egyptians ! Looks really good LoL. I would like a bit more yellow in the sky like the top version, but the overall is much better. I think the reflection of the acrylic in person would show that it is probably spot on. [IMG]

I completely agree, I removed too much of the yellow. You should know, Babe! [IMG]

    Tomorrow's another day! [IMG]
