you ought to sell them to holiday makers they would snatch them up..you could paint all winter.. The wall is also excellent if i had a gift like yours then i would make some money..you could even see if you could sell the local image as a postcard.. [IMG]

Thank you, Hornbeam ... from you that IS a compliment! [IMG]

I just "consulted" t'other half again and he thinks the shadows of the chines are not right ... but then again, he is not an artist and obviously I see things differently!

You have more faith than I, wildflower! You are so kind.

I may well attempt to sell them as we have no room for any of them here. We are "trying" to be minimilistic now ... ye, gads, what AM I going to do with all this stuff in boxes in the house and what's in the van? And we don't have paintings on the walls here, only a huge mirror ... in the living room, I'll quickly add! :D All rooms, barring the bathroom and kitchen have 15 foot ceilings at an angle so there is potential. I said to t'other half earlier, perhaps in the hall we could have a mini photo gallery ???? Who knows ??? I'll let you know. [IMG]

Well LOL - you know the problem as well as I do. Non artists often find fault with painting because it does not look "exactly right". If we want a picture to look exactly right we can use a camera. The whole point is to make a picture that says something about how we feel about it. So we add something from within ourselves. No point in slavishly copying a photograph. Its the extra way of seeing that the artist conveys to the viewer that is the key to all art. More please - they are excellent

Hope you do sell them to the tourist's and earn yourself some well deserved income.

Hope your holiday went ok and you had some nice weather [IMG] [IMG]

HB, thank you for your moral support. Kandy, thank you also for your kind words and perhaps I will think about selling them as I have no room for them!

As far as my "holiday" went, it was not a holiday. I think I said I was going to clear out our apartment as we had sold it ... it was a nightmare. I have never been so tired in my life. Four days there packing, visits to solicitors (no agents involved), a grocery/garden centre/Matalan trip. One night we were in bed by nine .... to go to sleep!
