This is what I've been working on the last two days ... Praia de Odeceixe on the West Coast. It is a photo I took on one of my Sunday jaunts and decided to paint it. I am standing in Algarve, the cliff on the far side is in Alentejo.

The painting is on a canvass board (9ins x 11ins) which I don't like working on but I have many and is done in acrylics.

Thank you, marge, I quite like it as well ... it's the "other side of me" painting because I seem to have these two sides.

I wished I could, dq, before Christmas ... it is GC that has brought out the artist in me!

Seriously! I will thank those who "pushed me to my limits" forever, but I don't think I've reached my limits yet. [IMG]

Just keep watching this space and my art site.

I love this one Sis - the clouds, the sky, the waves, the cliffs, just everything! Nothing needs to be altered or touched up as far as I can see. Very well done!

Thanks, Sis and DAG (although I can't see you). Must say I am really pleased with it and t'other half came out and said ... "that looks like Odeceixe" ... so must be! [IMG]

The West Coast is the surfing area here hence the waves.

Thanks rosa. Coming out to it this morning, it still looks good to me. Shame it never comes out quite right photographed as the detail in better in reality.

you always find the photographs never do justice to our art, I painted connor for wf and when she got the water colours she said the photos definately dont do justice to my work.

    Thank you, walnut. [IMG]

Here is Capelinhos Sunset (post 1958) Faial, A§ores.

We went here for our 25th Wedding Anniversary, a beautiful island but so desolate on the end where the now dormant volcano is.

I am not happy with the sun setting and the clouds surrounding it so a re-work may be in order.
