 Errrrm....just caught up with this thread,

Really like the 'Storm Abrewing', have to ask, did you do that entirely from imagination?

With all that energy and atmosphere that you have captured, well....that's what I call art!

Compared to that copying is easy! [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Sol Nascente. This is a painting of a photo taken in February of a sunrise from our deck.

Thank you rosa, DAG and Sis. As usual, they are so difficult to photograph. There are a few bits I'm not entirely satisfied with.

I forgot to say it's on a 24cm x 30cm stretched canvas and done in acyrlics.

Sol Nascente is the Portuguese phrase for sunrise but literally means birth of the sun.

I decided to re-work a couple of paintings I had issues with so am posting them for my record.

The Waterfall lacked depth and colour ...

... so I added more Autumnal colour ...

The Cove at Odeceixe on the West Coast had the sea falling into the cove and, even after a couple of re-works, I was not satisfied with it ...

... so I changed the direction of the waves, added more beach and changed the flora somewhat ...

Photobucket seems to have a problem re-sizing the two original ... ne'r mind. [IMG]

I liked The Waterfall as it was, but this new version is nice too.

The Cove at Odeceixe looks good now and normal. Perhaps minimize the large left wave a bit, but otherwise I really do like it now. I didn't like that waterfall in the ocean, was very unnerving!
