    Hi,

Thanks for your good wishes @Logan

I've enjoyed a violin practice this morning it going well. I'm now having a mug of tea whilst tackling YouTube trying to add a practice but it rejects MP3 and I've converted to MP4 which it still rejects so just another problem to resolve; I'm determined though to load this onto YouTube; years ago I loaded videos but I've never tried to load a music file on its own.

YouTube isn't letting me load the file so I'm about to use YouTube to gain information how to succeed. Life's such fun.

Enjoy your day walking your boys.

    Kind regards, Colin.

      Hi Colin

That's great that you had some good practice this morning.
I know that you'll solve it in the end.

        Hi,

Thanks @Logan I enjoyed this morning's violin practice and found a useful YouTube video on how to convert a file for adding to YouTube but need to play around with it yet. After dinner as usual I found another job to do; our two big oak trees are dropping thousands of acorns in fact I've never seen as many as there are this year; it's virtually an hard hat area on our patio and whilst recording my violin playing yesterday there was a constant banging on the roof just above my head as acorns thudded down.

        Whilst sweeping the acorns up for the umpteenth time I thought the side garden is looking a bit untidy so I've ended up with at least ten heavy bags of acorns and branches removed from the lilac tree ready for a full load to the tip tomorrow morning;

        Side garden_0002.JPG
Harvey one of our neighbpurs three cats supervising; there's always at least one on duty. Garden ready for digging over; I'm going to create a special wildflower meadow for my lovely wife.

        He's a lovely little chap.

Some of the bags; mostly acorns so they are heavy.

There's always jobs to do around home and gardens and if not attended to quickly the jobs get bigger.

        Kind regards, Colin.

          Hi Colin
Glad that you found a video on YouTube to help you. I hope that your recording didn't get spoilt by the dropping acorns, there's a lot here as well, better than last year.

            Hi,

Thanks @Logan I've not yet managed to use the YouTube information yet; yesterday I tried registering with the site but I did manage to load the violin practice and graphics on the opening screen but couldn't proceed from there; it's just down to practice but I'm a lot nearer.

I visited the surgery and Morrison's back home by 7:30 this morning then after a mug of tea fully loaded the car and with my wife by my side we headed to the tip; it's a beautiful sunny morning and back home from the tip I dropped my wife off then visited the local petrol station to fuel the car; it's now 9:38 and I'm enjoying another mug of tea before heading into the side garden to dig it over before winter hits us.

I will eventually practice playing my violins assuming I live long enough.

            Have a great day @Logan

            Kind regards, Colin.

              Hi Colin

You'll get there in the end, it will take some time.

Hope that you and Bron are ok.
I hope that you enjoyed your digging today.

              Have a good evening

                Hi,

Thanks so much for sticking with this thread and for your very welcome support @Logan I do fully appreciate it. :dbgrtmb::):):)

The thread so far is full of my many problems whilst I've struggled for a full year fighting for violin practice time; I've created the studio from scratch over the year with my wonderful wife Bron spoiling me rotten buying me 4 violins and a genuine Russian balalaika together with lots of studio recording kit. It must seem I'm moaning all the time but you are so right @Logan I've finally broken through all the problems and specially for you here with fingers crossed you can hear me playing about half of "Lara's Theme" not my best effort but one I've been using whilst I learn how to transfer violin music from my bow all the way through to YouTube; it's been a ballistic and frustrating learning curve but now with winter approaching I think I can make decent progress spending more time in the studio.

Thanks once again @Logan you're a gem. Have a lovely day.

                Kind regards, Colin.

                Hi Colin

I knew that you would do it in the end.
Your violin playing sounds good, well done, keep going and thanks for the video.

                  Hi,

Thanks @Logan I appreciate your faith in me and I'm pleased to respond showing the faith well placed.

Yes I plan to practice more now I'm grounded more due to the weather changing wintery; it's heavy rain today so I'm catching up on mail and forums.

Lots of my violin practices have been done whilst I was very tired with aching bones and stiff finger joints; hardly condusive to violin playing but it's not stopped me; the very last note on the "E" string in the video is always the note I have problems with but I keep working at it; it's a bow position my arm struggles with but I'm sure with lots more practice it will come right in the end.

                  Have a lovely day.

                  Kind regards, Colin.

Hi Colin and your welcome, great that you be able to practice more now that the weather has turned to autumn and winter, you can do what you really want to do now.

                    Hi,

Thanks @Logan it will make a rare change to do as I want to do and not what I have to do; I knew if I kept going on all the jobs I'd get on top one day but it's taken 35 years to reach this point; I've enjoyed half an hours violin practice this morning mostly familiarizing myself with the Yamaha amp controls; playing an acoustic violin is difficult for a novice but once amplifiers enter the picture it's an whole new world but a very interesting one.

                    Kind regards, Colin.

                        Hi,

Thanks @Logan I enjoyed two violin practice sessions in the studio yesterday; WHOOPEE.

I hope to spend more time in the studio today due to demands upon my time are receding; a busy morning though so far; I've just been out tidying the rear area of our bungalow and swept up two more bin bags of acorns; I've never known as many acorns; a few days ago I took ten heavy bags of them to the tip; now I've got another three bags and the acorns are still dropping; next will be the leaves; my little Robin friend was nearby but this time I couldn't see it although I could hear it; it comes to almost touching distance whilst I'm working in the garden; I love to see it flitting around chirping at me.

                        Kind regards, Colin.

Glad that you got some practice in the other day. Yes there's a lot of acorns this year, i think that it's making up for last year.
