Virgin E mail

It says there is an issue with my broadband as well, but it seems to be working ok, its just the usual e mail thats not working.
I'm thinking there must be major problems with the whole of their system.

I'm now in a queue trying to get through to Brit Gas to change my e mail, it wont let me do it online,

 

Had to do live chat with BG, total idiot sent me a link which when I opened it it said the link had expired.
I've managed to log back in but why does everything have to be so complicated.

 

That only took an hour, I hope changing all the other sites over turns out to be a bit easier.

 

Thats what they sent me earlier in the week, it came back for a while yesterday, with only e mails dating back to 20th june, but today its totally gone again.
I just wonder if the whole lot is about to collapse, they dont seem to be able to fix it, been nearly 2 weeks now.

 

E mails are back but actually loading the messages are slow.
Still nothing older than the 20th.

 

I see on the tv that virgin may be part of 02 or the other way around, i wonder if their messing about with merging things

 

I think that is just Virgin mobile.
Virgin are dumping it I think.

 

Expect BG and other energy providers sites are busy with folk entering /enquiring about the new tarrifs and meter readings which start tomorrow ?

Bet you will be glad to get out of VMs mail system !

An "historic" e mail appears to be one older than two weeks ago.

 

Just got an e mail from Virgin, all my emails have been restored.
They are investigating how this happened.

 

If they are really there ?! time to get them backed up to your own media or alternative including your Contacts list.

Have you started to migrate your contacts etc to a new email service like gmail / outlook etc eg non ISP dependant service ?

What might be handy for you with any service is that any email your really want /need to save can usually be moved to an Archive or similar folder, so they rest of the emails can be readily deleted; we tend to emply our inboxes every few months.

 

I've changed some of my email adresses over to g mail, but its a tedious process with some sites, I know we need security but half these places are so complicated that you have to jump through half a dozen hoops just to change your adress.

I'll get there, doing a few at a time when I feel lucky.

Had virgin mobile change over to O2 this week as well.

 

Have you opened more that one gmail address ? much better to use one for 'open' sites like this one and another for your more private banking and bill payments etc.

Hope 02 gave you a good deal , so many decent packages for around £5 if you only want < 5GB of data.

What about the big change, do you have any alternative to VMs broadband , is it fibre connecion ?
We were lucky as Vodafone use a fibre network different to VM, and BT fibre will be around soon so hopefully that will keep prices low .

 

Well I paid £8 with Virgin and O2 have kept to the same price but given me stupid amounts of data, I'll never use it in a month of Sundays.

I've only got one G mail address, I just get confused enough as it is, but might sort out an email with someone else just in case G mail make a complete mess of things like Virgin have.
