Well done Julie, missed John's post.

Blimey its taller than your house now, if it keeps on growing we can use it to construct the space lift:dbgrtmb:

I've pulled mine up tonight, well the big ones anyway. I've still got some smaller ones providing pigeon decoys, it stops them getting my spring greens.

I'm not sure what to do with them now, the top couple of feet is all sappy growth so I'll only end up with an 8ft stick. I guess just leave them to dry for a few weeks.

        Well done, John. :dbgrtmb:

Mine hasn't grown much this year apart from loads of flowering shoots that I should have taken off - and didn't. I didn't stake it so it's now curved under the weight of the leaves . I may take off all the leaves and flowering stems and try and stake it so it goes back straight. On the other hand, I may not bother. :heehee:

I won't be entering the carving competition.

We have been eating them too over the winter, until I brought a handful of leaves in for washing and filled the kitchen with a cloud of whitefly.

Time to get some stocks of Neem Oil and Horticultural Soap in in readiness :blue thumb:

Got you Marigolds in (rather than on!) ?

I got French Marigolds on the go, will that help against walking sticks?

I think the walking stick whitefly will be to high up for the marigolds to have an effect - unless you fix a hanging basket on the walking stick :heehee:

I was going to pull mine up because they were covered in whitefly but they suddenly disappeared.
