Clueless, why don't you just come off the fence and say what you think about Jo? :lunapic 130165696578242 5:

Hey everyone! I hope that everything is OK for you all.

I am posting this comment today to inform you that the writing of the paper is going pretty well, and that I will probably cite a few comments in order to illustrate my points. This way, I will probably have to mention the name and the Internet address of the forum. Does anyone have anything to say about it? Is it OK for you and the administrators?

    Thank you.

    Michaël

Oh dear. Free publicity - Shucks.

I only hope it doesn't result in a rash of new students looking for a quick fix
Nothing against MG. At least he kept us informed:thumbsup:

I'm OK with it but as you say, we are not an Academy for a load of fresh internees.

You probably do not have to worry, my paper will not be published, it is very likely that it will remain inside a relatively closed circle of researchers/students studying this topic (so not so much juvenile "internees" ^^). Moreover, even if it was published, it is not going to be talked about on the BBC or on Facebook, so you definitely will not be flooded by non-gardeners... The paper will be finished in September, I will keep you informed of the evolution of it as soon as I know more.

But again, do not hesitate to tell me if this is a problem, I would totally understand it!

    Thanks everyone!

No problem as far as I'm concerned. Any bad bits in mine you just need to say that Ziggy wrote them. :heehee:

    Thanks MG for the feedback
I have no objection to you quoting the site

Indeed it was a fresh insight someone researching to actually come back and reply to us

    Hi everyone!

I come back to you one last time to keep you informed of the results I got yesterday concerning my paper; they are good! My committee have been very encouraging and the feedbacks I got were all pretty good so I will be able to start a PhD in the best conditions! I am really happy and I wished to once more thank all of you for taking the questionnaire, but also for taking time to feed this thread with most interesting reflections on language, gender and profanity.

For those of you who could be interested in reading the paper, I would be glad to send it to you by email, so just send me a private message with your email address and I will send you a copy of it.

So thanks again to all of you, and long live gardenerscorner! ; )
