    Stick a copy of this in your windscreen and write your renewal date on the back for your road tax, insurance and MOT, or use the modern high tech method and enter all of them in your Google Calendar and set advance notifications.

    I write the tax renewal date in my diary, MOT is on the anniversary of the date I bought the car (which I can't forget) and all our insurances are due at the same time (I negotiate a reasonable discount for doing all of them with the same company) and I never forget that date.
